Grand Patriotic Poetry Contest by Gurukripa

Independece day of Bharat 15th August is near and we all are in the patriotic mood. Also because of Mumbai Bomb blasts people have anger, sadness in minds. To spread the patriotism, we are announcing Patriotic Poetry Contest from our Patriotic blog Gurukripa. 

My Love - Bharat


Rules and Guidelines:


1. The competition is open to anyone aged 12 or over at the time of entering. International entries are welcome. Contest is open from today 17Th July to 15Th August. (15:00 IST)

2. Theme of the poem is 'Independent Bharat'. All poems must have a title. Poems must be the original work of the entrant. Entries must be written in English/ Hindi. There is no limit on the number of entries a single entrant can make. All entries will be considered anonymously by the judges. Post your links of blogs in comment section below and non -bloggers can post their poems directly in the comment section below this post only. Please give your e - mail id for further contact below the post.

Important : Please do NOT submit poems or quotes that are cynical, bitter, or negative, that have nothing to do with Patriotism.

3. Results will be declared on 15th August - Independence Day (22:00 IST). 10 winners will be chosen. From 15 Th Aug, daily the winning posts will be featured on Gurukripa.Winners will receive an award winning badge. (If anybody is ready to sponsor the contest, please contact me within next two days, so that I can update about the prize.)

4.Please note: This line should be in your post. " This post is a part of Patriotic poetry contest by Gurukripa" where ever you publish the post on your blog, website or on Facebook.

Make this contest a big big success, so that we can arrange more and more patriotic and social contests.


UPDATE: Seeing the response in first few hours, we are making rules simpler, any entry related to theme is accepted, fresh or published earlier.

    hiii , mohiniji  its really nice blog...but when i called bharat to our country many friends dont agree with my view .....can india is divided
    in two sector means if ur in city like mumbai or pune it must be india....and if ur in rural area we will find india...

We wish to remove this slavery from the minds of citizens. That's why we have started this. I believe this will bring a revolution. Thanks for your views.

    कविता : "कर्ज माटी का,लहू से चुका गए।"



    भारत देश की महिमासंसार को जो दिखा गए,अबला माता-बहिनोँ कोसम्मान समाज मेँ जो दिला गए,हिन्दु-मुस्लमान-सिक्ख-इसाई कोएकजुट जो मिला गए,ऐसे थे वे भारत वीरजो कर्ज माटी का,लहू से चुका गए।आज़ाद स्वप्न पूर्ण करमाटी मेँ जो समा गए,दल्लित-दरिद्र लोगोँ कोस्वयं चलना जो सिखा गए,टूटे-फूटे घर कोइमारत जो बना गए,ऐसे थे वे अमर जवानजो कर्ज माटी का,लहू से चुका गए।अहिँसा का अमृत पयहमको जो पिला गए,सत्य से अपना नामइतिहास मेँ जो लिखा गए,अपने दृढ़ निश्चय सेसारे देश को जो हिला  गए,ऐसे थे वे स्वतंत्रता सेनानीजो कर्ज माटी का,लहू से चुका गए।
