Gurupaurnima - Vyaspaurnima - Worship of Lord Vyasa

||श्री श्री गुरवे नमः ||

||Shri Shri Gurave Namha||

गुरुर्ब्रह्मा गुरुर्विष्णू गुरुर्देवो महेश्वरः |
गुरु: साक्षात परब्रह्म तस्मै श्री गुरवे नमः ||

Meaning: SadGuru is the form of Lord Brahma, Lord Vishnu and Lord Shiva. Sadguru is Parabrahma. My Pranams to Sadguru.

First article on Gurupaurnima is dedicated to my Sadgurudeva - H. H. Narayankaka Maharaj Gurupaurnima - The Worship of Sadgurudeva.

Ashadha Full moon is Gurupaurnima. It is called as Vyasa - Paurnima because it is the day when Bhagavan Vyasa a form or Avatara of Lord Vishnu is born.

Bhagawan Veda Vyasa:

Bhagwan Vyasa is the Auther of Mahabharata - The Great Epic which has 1 lac verses. About Mahabharata it is said that,

"The thing which is not in Mahabharata does not exist in the world and there is no such thing in the world which is not in the Mahabharata."

This looks like a superstition, but our modern science has not reached the level which our sages had. The highest spiritual level on which sages of Bharata are lived and the state in which they have written these epics are written naturally not by research.

The story of how Mahabarata was written is such.......

Bhagwan Vyasa told Lord Ganesha to write Mahabharata and Bhagwan Vyasa will keep telling, verses. But Lord Ganesha, agreed with a condition that he will write but Bhagavan Vyasa should not stop telling for a single moment, the moment He will stop Lord Ganesha will end the writing and Mahabharata of 1 lac verses is formed. This is not an imaginary story. This is possible but science has to reach that level to know how one can have this ability.

Lord - Bhagavan Vyasa is above all the writers.

All the words and phrases and thoughts everything comes under the knowledge  and writings of VedaVyasa.

Vysa has written 18 MahaPuranas, Shrimadbhagavatam, Brahmasutra, Meemansa. He has presented the Vedanta and Advaita.

Each Mahapurana is I guess of 1 lac verses. In each one has explained the importance of one form of god as The God the supreme God. e. g. Devi Bhagavatam explains the glory of Mother Godess. Also there is lot more different info in different Puranas like Agni, Garuda. (I will try to keep sharing things in detail.)

All this is written in the form of stories. We get involved in stories and keep reading. But we never understand how moral principles, spiritual teachings and devotion is beautifully added in the form of stories. This makes great impact on our minds and lives too. Life changes and moves towards higher goals with peace and not restlessness naturally. Just in the form of stories.

Bhagawan VedaVyasa has written this way in 18 Puranas. Then he has written Shrimadbhagawatam which includes the leelas of Lord Shrikrishna. It is sweetest than Amrut.

We all know Mahabharata is the story of great Bharat dyanesty. Because of King Bharat - (India has the name actually Bharat. After British Raj Bharat's name is changed as India.)

Mahabharata includes Shrimadbhagwadgeeta, Vishnusahasranamam (1000 names of Lord Vishnu.)

Some people (may be enemies of this country) are spreading a superstition that if you keep Mahabharata in your home, your family will break, you will have fights with your loved ones or brothers. All this is a fake story.

I have read by one famous Feng Shui master that don't keep image of Lord Shrikrishna telling  Shrimadbhagawadgeeta to Arjuna, this will create fights.

These are superstitions. I have read Shrimadbhagwadgeeta and half of Mahabharata (translated in Hindi) and It has changed my life. The hatred for even enemies is removed from my mind. My nature has become more and more polite. I have got the real spiritual knowledge. My anger is controlled. I have become very careful while using words and while dealing with people, so that nobody should be hurt by me. I am not perfect though. But this change is a big change than the ordinary life I had before reading Mahabharata and Puranas.

Shrimadbhagawadgeeta is the inspiration to all, people of all streams, all ages. It explains Karma, Gyana and Bhaktiyoga. It inspires us to work, be devoted and have true knowledge.

So, I request you all not to come in the trap of such people and please do not miss the true divine and social knowledge. Our epics has answers of all questions of social problems.

My crore Pranams to The Greatest Poet Bhagwan Vedavysa and I pray to Him ,

"Please give me more and more beautiful words to write more and more poems and books to spread the glory of Bharateey culture. Give me Your grace so that I can realize all the deep meanings of the books - The Gyana you have written."
